Add a waitlist to Bolt.

Step by step

1. Sign in to and add your product. All you need is your email address.
2. On your product's page, copy the prompt under “Add it to your project”. Your key is already in it.
3. Paste the prompt into the Bolt chat and send it. Bolt builds the form where the prompt says.
4. Sign up yourself in the preview. You'll find the confirmation mail in the dashboard under “Test mails”.
5. When everything works, switch to the live key in the dashboard and ask Bolt to swap the key.

The prompt

Add the NearlyIn waitlist to my home page. Put this script exactly where the form should appear, and change nothing else in the design:

If my app has a login: only invited people may create an account. The invitation mail leads to my site with ?invite=CODE in the address. Check the code on the server with verifyInvite from the npm package nearlyin (import from "nearlyin/server") and redeem it with redeemInvite when the account is created. Set the environment variables NEARLYIN_URL=https://nearlyin.com and NEARLYIN_SECRET_KEY for this. The secret key must never reach the browser.

Good to know

• The form also works in the Bolt preview. loads it, so you don't have to allow any domain.
• If Bolt puts the form somewhere else, be more precise in the chat, for example “right below the headline”.
• If your app has no login, the first part of the prompt is enough. Bolt can ignore the rest.
• Never paste the secret key into the chat. Put it where Bolt keeps environment variables or secrets.
